The Bondage Workshop - Make Your Home A Dungeon

I have been having a think recently about self bondage and I put together a few tips that should help you all start out. But that has just led me onto something else.

How does one go about turning ones home into a dungeon, with out making it obvious?

That's the $64,000 question, isn't it.

I mean you wouldn't want to scare family and friends when they pop in to see you. What would your children think? Well lets hope mine think I am cool when I have them, but the norm is you don't want to shock them and give anyone cause for concern.
Oh, and you certainly don't want the neighbours to gossip behind you backs.

I guess the easy thing is to use a basement, spare room or the garage.
If you are going to put Eyescrews and Eyebolts anywhere, you certainly don't want them in the sitting room where everyone hangs out, right?
"Oh, Emma why is there a Gimp bound and gagged and hanging, suspended from your ceiling?"

The obvious place is to fix Eyescrews and Eyebolts from the rafters or joists of the garage ceiling. Its just a matter of screwing a few screws into the ceiling, and if you aren't going to be dangling with all your weight suspended from them, then these will be fine and not cause any structural damage to the homestead. You just want something that wont give if you were doing a standing spreadeagle tie.
Anyway suspension stuff is hard core and should be built with more strength in mind, and that is not what this post is about.


The Walls
I had Peter hang two pictures for me in our newly decorated sitting room. I had him place them side by side. Now in the UK all the walls are brick or breeze block with a plaster coating. Its really hard to hammer a small nail in the wall to hang a picture from. So we used small rawl plugs and normal screws and the pictures look lovely in place. So why cant we just take the normal screws out, replace them with Eyescrews, slap on the leather cuffs and chain ourselves to the wall. When the bondage game is finished, unscrew the Eyescrews and using an electric screwdriver, the pictures are hanging up again in seconds.













Skirting Boards
Now if you have a room that has skirting board running around the bottom few inches of the walls, then you can easily screw Eyescrews into it. You can hide them with furniture, or position the Eyescrews where others wont notice them. Try under the radiators for instance, or under curtains or blinds. In this picture the Eyescrews are along the back wall.











Door Frames
Door jams and door frames are usually made of wood. Eyescrews can be positioned in these. You can remove them when the bondage is finished. It will leave a tiny hole that can easily be filled if you don't want to use it this way anymore. Don't want the bother of taking them out, but want to close the door? Use the very tops of the door frame. Who can see a tiny hole up above the door?

Also you can get a bondage device that hangs over the top of the door which you then close. On one side is the support bar, on the other side are the cuffs you chain yourself up with. If you are intending to hang greater weight on something this is the better option than Eyescrews.





Any sports good shop will sell chin-up bars that telescopically attach to the upright door frames. Obviously these are strong and will also take more weight than screw eyes.




The Ceiling
Okay, I cant convince you not to put them in the ceiling. So what is the best way you ask? Well most ceiling is basically plasterboard screwed to the ceiling joists. You will need to find the location of the joists and screw the Eyescrews through the plasterboard and into the wooden joist. Why you ask? It's because Plasterboard is just plaster a few centimetres thick sandwiched between two layers of cardboard, so doesn't have any real strength. (Peter, thanks sweetie for the info!)
How do I find a joist you ask? Get one of the gadgets from the DIY centre that detects metal pipe/electric cables through walls. It will do the same for the plastered over screws in ceilings. Now you have located the line of screws in the joist, so adding one more wont be a problem. Leave the Eyescrew in place, and hang a plant from it.

The Loft Hatch
Now this is the one I favour because all the Eyescrews are anchored into wooden joists in the ceiling loft space and cant be seen by prying eyes. The pics below are our loft hatch, but we put ours in the side of the joist stopping the loft from closing. But you get the gist. If you put the Eyescrews into the top of the joist actually in the loft space, you can leave your chains or ropes attached to them and when you are done just close the loft. Standing on a chair or some small steps and you can easily retrieve the ropes/chains attached to the Eyescrews. Don't want to stand on your furniture or have any steps, then use a big umbrella to fish for them up in the loft space.

A Closet
Got a walk in closet with a bit of room? Hell you can put Eyescrews anywhere in there as people wont see the inside. Use your imagination as to where to put them.

The Floor
If you have some thick fitted carpets on the floor, take a small corner up and have a look at the quality of the wood underneath. If its poor quality like chipboard thats why there is carpet on the floor. This is also great as you can screw your Eyescrews straight through the carpet into the wooden floor beneath. It will ruin my lovely carpets though. Okay dont do it, but carpets are just woven cloth. Screws may puncture through it, but the holes should easily conseal due to the thickness of the carpet pile.
